How to Migrate Gmail Email to Office 365 – Easy Way

Part 1: Download Gmail Account Data

How to Download Gmail Account Data? Google has provided its own backup service to download Gmail data is by using Google Takeout. The service allows you to save the Gmail email in MBOX, Contacts in VCF, Calendar in ICS format. Following are the steps using which you can easily transfer all Google account data:

1. First, Go to Google Takeout (http://takeout.google.com/) & Sign into the Gmail account.

2. Now, uncheck all the checkbox and select the options which you want to backup >> Next

  • Delivery Method
  • File Type
  • Archive Size

Note: Google takeout will take some time to create an archive of Gmail data. Once the archive is finished, you will be informed in your email.

5. After the archive is created, download the Gmail archive on your computer.
